Clinical Supervision

Robbie B.

Mental Health Occupational Therapist

Telehealth OT Specialist

Robbie has been a Mental Health Occupational Therapist for over 10 years. Robbie is passionate about the supervision needs of OT’s working in the mental health space. Robbie understands that the work in the psychosocial space can be complex, challenging, confronting, nuanced and at times, but also that it can also be quite isolating. Through supervision, Robbie seeks to build the knowledge, skills, capacity and understanding of his supervisees to provide safety in practice, preserve client and clinician wellbeing, ensure AHPRA compliance is maintained, and help clinician’s grow their relevant professional and clinical skills.

Robbie appreciates that working in mental health can be challenging or may appear scary, however he believes that through by establishing safety and connection in the supervisory space, we can build the capacity of OT’s to work in a significantly under serviced area of OT. Furthermore, Robbie believes that supervision can help practitioners build their confidence, establish and preserve boundaries, minimise the impacts of imposter syndrome, navigate the complex and often confusing
schemes (NDIS, Medicare etc) to ultimately build the OT’s skills when working in the psychosocial disability space. Whether you are, a new graduate OT, a clinician wanting to explore working in the psychosocial space, or even someone who is an experienced mental health clinician, Robbie is keen to support your professional and clinical goals.

Finally, Robbie provides supervision and business consultancy support to all OT’s. You don’t need to be a mental health OT for Robbie to be able to supervise your clinical and professional practice, or to gain support with growing your OT business!
